I’ll admit it — I’m not a morning person. When I was little, I hated our Indian ceremonies because most of them involved getting up early, and I used to wear a grumpy face for hours after being forced to wake up at sunrise. I don’t get as grumpy these days (at least after I’ve had my morning cuppa) but I still prefer not to wake up early unless there’s an absolute need for it. As a result, I’ve clicked loads of sunset photographs but precious few sunrise ones. And precious they are, at least to me, precisely because of that reason. 🙂 I clicked the photograph here during a road trip, and I learned that the Sun rises as fast as it sets. 😛

I am NOT a morning person too!!! I had a hard time looking for old sunrise/early morning photos in my archives when I realized, like you, that I have tons of sunset ones. 🙂

Haha, look at us cheating when the photo-challenge was clearly hoping that we would get up early for this… 😛

Me, get up early?? haha. This was taken on my way home from work (I work night shift) a couple of months ago so this is like my “sunset” for normal folks. 😉

It’s much harder in winter to get up so early to see a sunrise but summers are easier!! Lovely image!!

Gorgeous picture! I totally agree with you on waking up early for Indian ceremonies! I really respect my parents who wake up at 6am everyday no matter what time they sleep!! 🙂

Thanks Lavanya! Yes, hats off to my parents too — I really don’t know how they manage to do that…
