Why “Half a photograph”? Because I’m never fully satisfied with the photographs I click. As Imogen Cunningham said — “Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow.”

I have an interest in photography, but I do not fancy carrying around expensive (and expansive) equipment everywhere. I own an old Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, and enjoy working with it, but I also love clicking pictures on my cell phone. Let’s face it — opportunities for photography are everywhere, and I’ve captured more shots on my cell phone than on my camera. I’m also not ashamed to admit that I love applying Instagram-like effects when I feel they compliment a photograph.

I believe in technique, but I also believe that photographs are more about how they make someone feel.

This blog is a fun pursuit for me — a record of thoughts associated with my photographs. I’d appreciate it if you’d honor my wish of keeping it award-free.
