I love not driving during road trips; I’d much rather be clicking pictures of landscapes and everything else that catches my eye. If I do drive, it’s not like I’d get distracted from driving and endanger the lives of others, but I’d want to make a hundred stops before we reach our destination! 🙂
There’s just something that connects one to the elements when strolling along a riverbank (or a lake in this case), watching clouds play in a fiery sky, with the breeze in your hair.
Some textures totally catch the eye — like this one did mine.

The satisfaction of a happy photoshoot with a cooperating model… Aren’t flowers wonderful subjects? 🙂
Unanticipated movement while pressing the shutter? Camera settings goof-up? Accidental click? I have no idea what I tried to click here and what formed the trail in the image. All I can say is that I just can’t bring myself to delete this picture because it’s so unusual! ‘Whoosh!’ is what I hear when I see this. 🙂
I’ve played around with shutter speed and exposure since, but I don’t think I’ve recreated something like this.
Clicked on an evening in Las Vegas.
Patch after patch of vivid colors are a feast to the eyes. If you peel your eyes away from this wondrous view, the faraway mountains and dreary sky paint a contrasting picture. And in between the two, the people, the buildings and the trees.
A collage of sceneries!
What better represents a snapshot of change, a delta, than a sunset amongst the clouds? Every second, the sun is rapidly descending, the clouds are constantly morphing, and the darkness is steadily expanding.
