… A Glorious New Year. Happy 2018!
An abstract version of a picture that I clicked of a paper lamp.
A few folds, some snips of the scissors, and finally some glue. Voila! A paper sheet transforms into a whimsical spinner that hypnotically twirls with the slightest breeze.
With a gleeful breeze around, it’s fun to watch light peeking out from a swaying paper lamp, but a tedious job to capture it.
Paper beads and seed beads make a great match…. Who knew!
I made these a while back, and still haven’t figured out how I’ll use them! 🙂
Paper jewelry — vastly different from what comes to mind when I think of paper!
For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Rock Paper Scissors
A while ago, I decided to learn how to make paper cranes. These are the ones that I made that day from some craft paper lying around. I like how they are unique and different, and yet, similar and in harmony.
As for the photograph — after adding a vignette, I desaturated the picture. I then added the original again in semitransparent mode such that the colors are again visible, but barely. I adore this look for the cranes!
It’s been quite some time since I made these — as you can see from the battered state of the paper. 😉 I don’t know if I’ve now forgotten the art of paper-crane making. Time to test my skills? 😛
