This photograph is of an old and unused barn in my ancestral village. It brings back memories of hide and seek games us cousins played when we used to visit there as kids — at least some of us used to hide in the shallow pits in there. My parents and their siblings have memories stretching even farther, when the barn used to house cows — memories of the animals being fed and milked, and of times when they were decorated for festivals. The barn fell into disrepair, and has stayed that way for a long time now.
