Making an appearance once again — the beauty in the weaving that makes up a cane stool. Made from numerous repeats of the same weaving motion, but with each weave being unique — variations on the same theme.

Majestic, tree-like pillars naturally make your eye ascend along them. I felt that most of the wonders of this awesome place were concentrated well above eye level.

Diyas
So far, I’ve been able to enjoy the warm glow of diyas without the ear-splitting din of firecrackers. I hope the rest of this Diwali follows suit, and that all Diwalis end up like today.

Hand-carved beads
The beads that I recently hand-carved popped into mind when I saw today’s color for the Color Your World Challenge hosted by Jennifer Nichole Wells. The shimmery colors of the beads are mostly violet, and a bit of blue, and I totally loved using them in my jewelry pieces! 🙂
