Out of This World

Abstract or alien? | Anita
Textures and patterns in everyday objects can seem extraordinary and out of this world when one pays a little attention to them.

Retro / Sweet

Comfort Food | Anita
It’s a wonder I stopped to click a picture before digging into this bowl of comfort food. I used to extensively use this retro camera app on my phone then, but the pictures started to increasingly deteriorate in quality so it’s long gone from my device now..

Themed Variations

Cane Stool | Anita
Making an appearance once again — the beauty in the weaving that makes up a cane stool. Made from numerous repeats of the same weaving motion, but with each weave being unique — variations on the same theme.

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced absolute silence, but this one came pretty close.

I think it’s actually the feeling of bliss I experienced, away from the everyday noise and hustle, that makes me associate this scene with silence.

It’s time for New Year resolutions again. Not the ones that fizzle before January ends 😉 — the ones that we’ll work on to help us grow, the ones that are less grand and more achievable, the ones with a plan. The ones that, in retrospect, will seem like the dawn of a beautiful day.

Here’s to…

… A Glorious New Year. Happy 2018!

Color and Light | Anita Rao

An abstract version of a picture that I clicked of a paper lamp.

Majestic, tree-like pillars naturally make your eye ascend along them. I felt that most of the wonders of this awesome place were concentrated well above eye level.
