Paper beads, seed beads

Paper beads, Seed beads
Paper beads and seed beads make a great match…. Who knew!

I made these a while back, and still haven’t figured out how I’ll use them! 🙂

Repurposed

Container
I’d mentioned a tiny container a while ago — it contained kumkuma powder in it. Now that the powder’s finally been used up, I’m using it to store tiny trinkets. (Yes, trinkets that are tinier than the tiny container.) From being a symbolic gesture at a religious ceremony to being used to store kumkuma to now — I’d say this container has had quite a ‘repurposeful’ journey.. 😉

This is the color version of the black-and-white that I’d published then. As always, I love the insightful contrasts between the two pictures!

Needle naming

Knitting needles are named in numbers, and these #15’s are the largest pair I own.

Knitting needles

Since they are circular needles — that is, they’re connected to each other with a cord — guess what they can double as? Nunchuks! 😀

What I really really want

Beads
… right now, is to be able to buy a range of supplies for my jewelry-making pursuit from local stores. Or at least from a store in my country. To be able to shop without worrying about shipping costs and customs duties poking holes in my wallet and causing delays, when the only thing I’ll anticipate after placing an order is opening my door to a package of beautiful beads.
