Dense(r)

Waves...
The wavy patterns on the cardigan that I’m knitting for my mom not only make the sweater look pretty, they also make it denser than if it were plain. This is what I call functional looks! 😉

Waves

Waves
This picture is from one of my attempts at long exposure photography without a tripod, especially when there was no elbow support to keep my arms steady. 😀 Not deterred by the initial blurred results with longer exposures, I was able to manage this fairly good picture with an exposure time of slightly more than half a second. (Hurrah!)

Pure bliss

Sunset
… is enjoying a beautiful sunset. Even when in a crowd. Have you ever noticed how fast the sun sets when you’re looking at it! I’d to hurry and click pictures before it sizzled off into the sea. I must say I was lucky to get pictures with no people walking past at just the right wrong moment. 🙂.

Refreshing

Refreshing
I don’t think there’s any other view so sparse, and yet so calming and refreshing, as that of the sea. I could sit all day (under a parasol, of course) watching wave after wave roll and gently crash into the beach. An occasional seagull or two flying around wouldn’t hurt! 🙂.

Reflections

ReflectionsClicked using a phone camera app outside a restaurant on a sunny, windy day. The faraway lines of buildings that get reflected here weren’t click-worthy at all, but I thought the waves and ripples on the water made all reflections featureless yet interesting. 🙂

I applied a light touch of painterly effect with another app to get this final picture. (The results of painterly effects make me sigh, wishing I could paint like that, but I then console myself since I can at least apply painterly effects using these apps.)
