Good Things Come To Those Who Wait

While on a whirlwind tour of Dublin during a business visit, we were at the Guinness Storehouse, and came across this installation representing the famous Surfer ad for Guinness. The ad shows a surfer biding his time, waiting for the ultimate wave. “Tick followed tock followed tick followed tock…” the voice-over goes. The surfer and his friends hurl themselves into the water, and the waves arrive, and the waves appear as huge horses. Waves, humans and animals charge and roll, and finally the surfer celebrates his riding the wave. It ends with a pint of Guinness sitting, ‘getting ready’, and above it is the slogan “Good Things Come To Those Who…”
